"After learning about Streetworx from my colleague Peter Browne, I was happy to come on board as an Ambassador. I feel there is a real need within our culture to put forward art and creativity as a vehicle for personal expression and growth.
It is important that we show a variety of role models and mentors to our youth, and art is often not accessible to youth in the way that it could be. If I can show by my example that you can be a normal average Aussie bloke, who enjoys sport and all the usual stuff but still has a creative and expressive side and that this can even be a career option, I think that may be a good thing.
While we have a lot of great sporting role models for our youth, we need to fill the gaps and show some wider options for our young people, and help demonstrate that creativity is a part of all of us and we can all tap into that and use it as way to move forward positively through life."
