Stories Aaron's Story
Inspirational Stories: Aaron Haynes
Aaron is 16 years of age and is a dedicated volunteer for Streetworx. From his own experiences, Aaron aims to help other kids enduring problems in their lives.

Following the divorce of his parents and him starting High School Aaron encountered a number of problems. Unfortunately, he sustained bullying and was led into a world of drugs by older students. A senior student made him carry around a bag of drugs and at the end of the day he was given a pill – Aaron made the mistake of taking it. This started a volatile year of self-harm through drugs, aggression and stupid behaviour.

Aaron was at risk of offending in the juvenile justice system. His problems continued, particularly at School, when he was expelled for continual fighting. He was placed in a Behavioural School which brought him into contact with students with even more problems than he had. Aaron became desperate and would do anything to get out of the school.

Fortunately, he met a Police Officer from the PCYC, Scott who started to lead him on the right path. Scott became like a brother to him and inspired him to follow other directions. This culminated in his participating in the Streetworx “Making the Cut” golf program which focuses on the objectives of “Dream, Believe and Achieve.”

During this program he met Daniele Maisano, who became his mentor and friend. Together they formed a close bond and Aaron’s self-esteem and confidence increased. This program, as well as the support of Streetworx has changed his life and he is doing a traineeship. He is now on the path to success.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
